Free Diving

Free diving means diving into the water from the surface without the use of a breathing apparatus

There are different categories in this sport. Some use only a face mask, others use the fins too. Some descend with the aid of a weight and ascend leaving the weight at the bottom. In other categories no weights are used.

Deep free diving is done under careful surveillance of trained safety divers equipped with scuba equipment. Medical Oxygen is available in close proximity.
