At Dive For You, we believe every diver plays a role in protecting Sri Lanka’s incredible underwater world. Our reef conservation efforts help preserve marine life, restore damaged areas, and support healthier oceans for future generations.
Why Reef Conservation Matters
Sri Lanka’s reefs face threats including coral bleaching, pollution, and destructive fishing practices. Healthy reefs support marine biodiversity, protect coastlines, and sustain local communities so protecting them is essential.
Coral Monitoring & Research
Our team conducts regular reef surveys to track coral health, bleaching, fish life, and environmental changes. We share this data with marine researchers and conservation partners to support long-term reef protection.
Coral Restoration Projects
We maintain coral nurseries where broken coral fragments are grown and later transplanted back onto damaged reefs. These restored areas help rebuild habitats and attract new marine life.
Underwater Clean-Ups
Daily, we organise underwater and beach clean-ups, removing plastics, fishing lines, and debris that threaten marine life. Our diveleaders have already removed significant waste from local dive sites.
Eco-Diving Education
Every DiveForYou course and fun dive includes eco-briefings on buoyancy, reef-safe behavior, and how to avoid harming marine life. Small habits make a big difference.
